I just got my partner assignment for the potholder swap #10. This is a flickr group where we have a theme and swap a set of potholders with someone. The theme for this swap is scrappy log cabin. My partner is in the united kingdom. she is blogger espritpatch. She want's spring colors for her potholders so this will be fun. Already have an idea on what to do.
I will post pictures as i move along with this swap. I have to have it in the mail by feb 16.

2nd of the 2 quilts for a friends twins
here is the quilt for the baby girl. This is a scrappy quilt with the 9 patch block pattern set with fabric that has numbers and animals on it. Border is pink so this is great for a baby girl.

A co-worker and friend's wife had twins a boy and a girl. I made them a quilt for each baby. the first quilt is thomas the train quilt in reds and blue. It was made with a panel so it was really quick and easy to put together. It looks good too.

Welcome 2012
I am excited it is the new year. I have resolved to do a few things better this year:
- I am going to write on the blog more.
- I am going to use up my scrap fabric; and not keep so many scraps (only BIG ones)
- I am going to complete more quilt tops into actual finished quilts.
- I am going to send a small art quilt to the Alzheimers Art Quilt Initiative each month
It will be such a fun year I hope. Have a great one everyone!!
